Karine Genest is a filmmaker, explorer, naturalist, and outdoor guide whose passion for wildlife and the Canadian North has shaped her career in documentary storytelling.
Having spent years working and living in remote northern environments, Karine has developed extensive experience observing wildlife, navigating challenging wilderness conditions, and sharing the stories of the landscapes and species that define Canada’s North.
Her work combines scientific curiosity, adventure, and a deep respect for nature. Whether filming polar bears on Arctic sea ice, exploring boreal forests, or documenting the cultural and environmental changes affecting northern communities, Karine brings an authentic field perspective to every project.
